School Starts Sept. 3

• August 27 - Open House:
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Freshmen Orientation (freshmen & parents)
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - CHS Open House (all students & parents)

Parents are asked to join their students in our back-to-school open house on Aug. 27. See below for specific class times. Highlights of the evening include:
•Schedules and locker combinations will be distributed.
•Teachers will be in their classrooms where course syllabi and other
important course information will be distributed.
•Orientation sessions will take place in the auditorium for each
class throughout the evening. Important information for both students and parents will be presented, so attendance is highly encouraged.
Orientation schedule will be (in Auditorium):
Freshmen: 5:00 - 6:00 PM
Sophomores: 6:30 - 6:50
Juniors: 7:00 - 7:20
Seniors 7:30 - 7:50
Upperclassmen are asked not to arrive until after 6:00 PM. Students and parents are encouraged to visit classrooms and meet teachers after the session in the auditorium.
•School pictures will be taken during orientation. Please bring your completed picture envelope. This will be mailed home before orientation.
•The Student Services Office will be open for students with incomplete schedules.
•Emergency forms and school documentation will be available for parents to complete on site.
•CenterPoint is being replaced with a different web based student management system called PowerSchool. Parent login information will be distributed and/or brief training sessions will be offered throughout the evening of orientaion.
•Automobile registrations must be purchased in the office by those students who will be driving to school. The cost is $5.

• School Begins Sept. 3: Students are asked to report to “A” block for a “Monday” schedule. New School hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

• New Staff: Charlevoix High School welcomes the following new teachers:
