CMHS Important Upcoming Dates!

7th Grader Orientation

We are excited to welcome the Class of 2021 to CMS/HS!  Students: Please join us for a fun-filled 7th grade orientation on Tuesday, September 1 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Wear active clothing and be ready to celebrate what it means to be a RAYDER!  If you need transportation, please call our office.  Parents: Please join us for a parent meeting in our auditorium at 5:00pm. We look forward to seeing all of you at orientation!

CMS/HS Open House

We invite all students and parents to our annual CMS/HS Open House on Tuesday, September 1st  from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.  Students - This is a great opportunity to walk-through your schedule, meet your teachers, check out your textbooks, locate your locker, get your school picture taken and check out the opportunities for clubs and athletics.  Parents - We encourage you to meet teachers, complete emergency paperwork, deposit lunch account money and join an informational session on our school expectations. First Day of School is a Half-Day

Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.  School buses will run normal routes and our front doors will open at 7:55 a.m.  It has become an annual tradition to kick-off the school year in style so the day will be filled with fun activities, class competitions, games and will end with an all-school cookout (normal lunch prices or students are welcome to bring a sack lunch).  It will be an awesome day to be a RAYDER!

Technology Updates

Thanks to our community, staff and school board, we are continuing to support our students’ learning with a 1:1 initiative.  This fall, all students in our middle/high school will receive a MacBook Air laptop as their technology device. More information will be forthcoming, but please plan for MacBook distribution to students on Thursday, September 3 during the following times:

8:00 - 10:00 a.m.      Juniors and Seniors

10:30 - 12:30 p.m.    Freshmen and Sophomores

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.        7th and 8th Graders

New students: a special orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 1 at 5:00pm in Room B204. Students will have the opportunity to hang out with super cool classmates, tour the building, checkout textbooks, and have fun!
